Hati or Ganpati Besha has the deities adorned in the form of elephants, with Lord Jagannath as the black elephant and Lord Balabhadra as the white elephant and the materials used for decorating the deities comes from the famous Gopal Tirtha Ragabdas Math in Puri. The besha is observed on the full moon day of the month of Jyeshtha, which falls in May-June, when the deities have a ritualistic bathing ceremony called the Snanamandap, following which they are adorned in this besha and give darshan to their devotees.
