Special trains will be run to Puri from various places of Odisha by the East Coast Railways (ECoR) to cater to the increasing demand on the festival of Nabakalebara Rath yatra, 2015. According to Nihar Ranjan Mishra, spokesman of ECoR, “These trains would run on 18th, 26th and 27th of July for Rath Yatra, Bahuda Yatra and Sunabesaha respectively.
Bhawanipatna-Puri-Bhawanipatna Via Angul is a special train will be running on the route from Bhawanipatna to Puri at 11 AM on July 17. In Return direction, it would be leaving Puri at 00.45 hrs on July 19 and would reach Bhawanipatna at 2.30 PM on the same day.
Bhawanipatna-Puri-Sambalpur via Angul is a train which will serve the Bahuda Yatra. It would depart from Bhawanipatna at 11 AM on July 25 and would reach Puri at 3.40 AM next day. On its return, the train would travel from Puri to Sambalpur and would embark from Puri on July 26 at 6.45 PM, reaching Sambalpur on July 27 at 5.30 AM.
The Sambalpur-Puri-Bhawanipatna via Angul train is another special train which would run on the occasion of Sunabesha day (July 27). It would depart from Sambalpur on July 27 at 6.30 AM and reach Puri on the same day at 4 PM. While returning, the special train would leave from Puri to Bhawanipatna on July 27 at 11.15 PM.
It has also been told by ECoR that, in addition to these special trains, two more trains would travel from Raipur to Puri via Titilagarh, and Sambalpur, Angul and Rourkela to Puri via Jharasuguda and Sambalpur.
