Bhubaneswar: The Congress’s Odisha unit on this Wednesday threatened to encroach the State Assembly on the incident of Kundli Gang Rape.
Congress Chief Whip Tara Prasad Bahinipati came down heavily on the state government when Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik ordered a judicial inquiry into the incident of gang rape. He alleged that this order is for the delay of time instead of giving justice to the victim.
“The Chief Minister played a drama First of all, he instructed HRPC’s ADG, Mahendra Pratap and Koraput SP, and said that the investigation is going on, after which they ordered a judicial inquiry, no result would be found. The innocent minor girl’s career was damaged The state government has planned to hide the whole case, ” alleged Bahinipati.
“We are confident that the report will not come in the state assembly. But, we will continue our fight for her justice, let start the winter session. wе wіll produce thе victim оn thе floor оf thе House, іf needed,” hе threatened.
Today, senior BJP leader Pratap Chandra Sarangi also demanded a CBI probe into the matter for the involvement of state government officials in the crime.
It is worth mentioning that a 14-year-old girl from Musaguda village was allegedly sexually harassed by a group of four people in Uniform on 10’th October under the Pottangi Police Limits in Koraput District.
