Two Held for Misbehaving with a Woman at MLA’s Quarter


Bhubaneswar: Two people employed at the quarter of Gobinda Chandra Das, the BJP MLA from Remuna, were arrested by the Commissionerate police on the allegation of misbehaving with a woman.

An FIR was filed by the woman at the police station of Kharabelanagar. She lodged a complaint that the two accused had misbehaved with her on the previous night, while she was staying at the quarter of the MLA. She further stated that she had come to the city for the purpose of appearing in an exam.

Taking a prompt action on the woman’s complaint, Parameswar Das and Dilip Behera, the two accused people, were arrested from the MLA’s building. According to the police, Dilip Behera is serving as a driver of the MLA.

On the other hand, the MLA has stated that he has no knowledge regarding the incident as he is in Bengaluru at present.
