Wife confronts IAS officer Taradutt, approaches Women’s Commission

Taradutt, a senior IAS Officer from 1983 batch came into news for all the wrong reasons when his wife Indulata Das got in touch with the Women’s Commission of the state of Odisha and brought up charges against him. She approached the commission’s chairperson, Lopamudra Baxipatra for her support in the battle for justice.

After the meeting, Indulata reiterated that she had given a written complaint to the Women’s Commission, alleging that her husband was involved in an illicit affair with a woman and must be punished if found guilty. If he says that he is innocent, he needs to prove it, she stated further. She has also charged Taradutt with the allegation of “moral turpitude”.

In view of the development, it has been stated by Lopamudra Baxipatra that her organization is looking into the matter and that they would be taking the requisite action in the near future. Taradutt, who earlier served as the Additional Chief Secretary Revenue, had been transferred to work as KBK Chief Administrator and has also been given the charge of Gopabandhu Academy of Administration. He joined his current post on April 20 and has come under controversy now, a short time later.
